Custom Indoor Motorcycle Covers: Cut to Your Bike, in Your Colour
There's a moment most riders will recognise. The bike's in the garage, clean, on the stand, sitting exactly how you want it. And draped over it is a shapeless nylon bag that cost twenty dollars and makes the whole thing look like furniture waiting for a house move.
We built the Indoor Custom Motorcycle Cover for the other version of that moment.
Why a garaged bike still needs a cover
The question we get most often is whether an indoor cover is doing anything at all. The bike's inside. What's going to happen to it?
Dust, mostly. And dust isn't soft — it's a mix of grit, mineral particles and fibre settling continuously onto tank paint and polished chrome. Sitting there, it does nothing. The damage happens when you wipe it off. That's a fine grinding action across the clear coat, repeated every couple of weeks for years, and it's the leading cause of swirl marks on bikes that have never seen rain.
Then there's everything else a real garage does. Doors open and close. A car comes in wet and evaporates onto everything in the room. A grinder throws metal dust that settles and rusts where it lands. A ladder gets moved past the bars. And if there's a window, there's UV — which fades a red tank indoors just as happily as out.
An indoor cover handles all of that quietly. It keeps grit off the finish so you're not sanding your own paint every fortnight. It gives you a soft barrier against the knocks that happen in every working garage. And because it breathes, a bike that came home damp can dry properly rather than sitting in its own condensation.
Which is exactly why a bedsheet or a plastic drop cloth is worse than nothing. A sheet is too thin to stop a knock and sheds lint into every crevice. Plastic traps moisture against metal — the fastest route to corrosion on a bike that's never been rained on.
What we actually make
Every Indoor Custom Motorcycle Cover is made to order, cut from your bike's make and model. Not a size small, medium or large. Your bike.
The pattern accounts for the overall length, the bar width, the mirrors and the fairings — the four dimensions that shop-bought covers get wrong most reliably. The result sits close to the tank, seat, bars and tail instead of hanging off them. It doesn't sag, it doesn't slide onto the floor by Thursday, and it doesn't look like something borrowed from a boat.
The specifications, plainly:
- Fabric: 220gsm premium stretch fleece — soft against paint, breathable enough to prevent condensation build-up in long-term storage
- Use: Indoor only — garage, carport, showroom, storage
- Logos: Two included as standard, one on each side
- Colours: 15, all made to order
- Delivery: 2–3 weeks from order, free worldwide shipping
- Warranty: 3-year manufacturing guarantee
- Care: Machine washable, gentle cold cycle. Folds down small enough for a pannier or a shelf.
Cut for sport bikes, cruisers, nakeds, tourers, café racers and classics. Twenty-two years of pattern-cutting is largely twenty-two years of solving awkward shapes, and motorcycles are the most awkward shapes we do.
Fifteen colours, because a garage is a room you look at
Most cover companies offer black. We offer fifteen, and it's the feature owners talk about most.
Match the marque — Yamaha blue, Ducati red, KTM orange, Kawasaki green, Harley black. Match the build. Or ignore both and pick the one you like. We've cut covers in purple for Harleys and deep pink for a Vespa 946, and both looked better than the beige lump the alternative would have been.

Two logos, included. Or your own artwork, also included.
Not an upsell. Two logos come standard, one on each side.
Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, KTM, Honda, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Triumph, Indian, Aprilia, Husqvarna and more.
And if you'd rather have something else on there, send it through — custom artwork is free too. Race liveries, club marks, a design a mate drew. We've printed Repsol HRC for a Fireblade owner and a one-off illustration for a rider who wanted his own thing on the tank. Same price either way.

Frequently asked questions
Do I really need a cover if my motorcycle is stored indoors?
If you care about the finish, yes. Indoor covers aren't about weather — they're about dust, which is abrasive and gets ground into the paint every time it's wiped away, plus incidental knocks in a working garage and UV through windows. A garaged bike accumulates swirl marks the same way any other does.
Can I use a bedsheet or a tarp instead?
A sheet is too thin to stop a knock and sheds lint. Plastic sheeting is worse — it traps moisture against the metal and can cause corrosion on a bike that has never been rained on. A breathable, soft-lined cover made for the job avoids both.
How is a custom motorcycle cover different from a universal one?
A universal cover is sized by rough category and fits nothing precisely. Ours is cut from your bike's make and model, accounting for overall length, bar width, mirrors and fairings. That's why it sits close instead of sagging, and why it stays on the bike instead of ending up on the floor.
What material is the Purfit indoor motorcycle cover made from?
220gsm premium stretch fleece. Soft enough to sit against paint and chrome without marking it, and breathable enough to prevent condensation build-up during long-term storage.
How many colours are available?
Fifteen — Black, Red, Royal Blue, Light Blue, Navy Blue, Dark Green, Burgundy Red, Purple, Orange, Yellow, Brown, White, Light Grey, Mid Grey and Charcoal Grey. Every cover is made to order in the colour you choose.
Are the logos included or extra?
Included. Two as standard, one on each side. Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, KTM, Honda, Harley-Davidson, BMW, Triumph, Indian, Aprilia, Husqvarna and more are available.
Can I put my own artwork or design on the cover?
Yes, and it's free — the same as a manufacturer logo. Send us your artwork when you order. Race liveries, club marks, one-off designs and personal illustrations are all fine.
Will it fit a bike with panniers, a top box or a tall screen?
Yes — tell us what's fitted and the pattern accounts for it. Accessories are the usual reason a shop-bought cover fails, and a common reason riders come to us.
How long does delivery take?
Typically 2–3 weeks, because your cover is cut, sewn and branded after you order it. Free worldwide delivery is included and you'll get a tracking number when it ships.
How much does a custom indoor motorcycle cover cost?
From AU$245, including both logos and free worldwide shipping.
How do I clean it?
Machine wash on a gentle cold cycle. Every few months, or whenever it's visibly dusty — the cover collects the dust so the bike doesn't, which only works if the cover gets cleaned occasionally.
Is there a warranty?
Three-year manufacturing guarantee, alongside our 100% fitment guarantee.
